Usually there is no true science behind the right dose and it can appear more as a guessing game unless you do your research.

Take Professional Photos: If I learned anything in this stage it was to schedule time with a photographer and capture those special moments with you, your family and your pet. Create a gallery wall or special place in your home to hang them. I promise you will thank me for this recommendation!

Vaccinations and Shots: Ask your doctor about when to wean your pet off certain medications. As they age, they are not as routine in the later stages of life including rabies, etc. Also, always check side effects or other interactions shots might have on you pet's current health state.

Prolonging Life: Any medical care to help keep our pets alive longer when organs stop working to their full capacity is key in this stage. Beyond your primary vet, do your research now to understand other specialty doctors in your area who service areas of expertise including cardiologists, oncologists, critical care, dentistry, etc.
