Puppyhood (up to 1 year)
Veterinarian: Research Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Emergency Vet Clinics in your area to start building out your pet's contact sheet. You always want to have these accessible in case an unforeseen issue or concern arises, now or in the future.
Research: Read up on your type of pet, their personalities, behaviors and potential health concerns or issues that may arise later in life so you can get ahead of them while they are young.
Exercise/Wellness: Identify dog parks, boarding facilities, walking trails, etc. in your area to keep your dog active and bonding with other pups. Diet and exercise are extremely important in this stage to keep the heart, organs and bones strong as they form!
Organization: Start early by creating a place to store your pets information, doctor plans, medical records, etc. Peace Love Pet will be launching a new product coming soon.
Food/Diet: Researching brands for your pets diet is crucial, especially with all the options. There are a variety of food types including dry/kibble, wet/canned, home cooked/human-grade via delivery or subscription services and even raw diets available depending on your health preference.
